AFTERIMAGE PROJECT 2.2 (B)

AFTERIMAGE INSTRUCTIONS (PIB pg.8):

  • Have a classmate or friend take a profile photo of yourself
  • Import it into Graphic app
  • Use the Pen tool to select the outline of your image
  • Use the Fill Option to fill in your image.
  • Save this as a .jpg and Email it to yourself
  • Print the Image at 5×7 inches- your head should be 4.5″ W X 5.5″ L
  • Cut image out and trace it on your Stonehenge
  • Figure out what color you would like your viewers to see as an afterimage. You can see the RGB complimentary colors here: http://www.animations.physics.unsw.edu.au/jw/light/complementary-colours.htm#charts
  • NEATLY & CLEANLY Paint your image in flat color using the paints provided. Remember, use the appropriate opposite color to what you would like your viewer to see. This should be carefully calculated. Here is an example of Jasper John’s painting that I showed in the class before. We first see orange, black and green in order for the after-image to be red, white and blue
