Project 1.2

PROJECT 1.2

PART A: FOUND DOTS PHOTOGRAPHS

For project 1.2, we will revisit the dot photos you took on day 1.  Did you photograph just one dot? How is it placed within the square format? Is it being cropped? Or are there multiple dots creating density? We will be looking at our images with a focus on  balancesymmetryasymmetry and unity and variety within a composition.

So, you each have 12 found dot images on your blog to choose from. However, if you are unsatisfied with some of your choices – I challenge you to stage any dot photos you would rather work from for Part B.

PART B: GRAPHIC RENDERINGS

In Part B of this assignment you we will work together as a class to select the 5 strongest of your dot compositions and you will render an abstract design of each in your Graphic App.

Out of the 5 image/renderings combinations – 2 will be printed out on a Color Printer, cut and glued to a Piece of Stonehenge using the dimensions below.  This will be pages 2 and page 3 of your Personal Inventory book (PIB).

You must make a blog post titled “Project 1.2” and side by side pairs of all 5 dot photographs & its rendering by class on 9/12.

Part B due on blog: 9/14

*5 Graphic App renderings and dot photographs

Part B Prints glued on stonehenge due: 9/19
